PristupačnostThe seventh annual Joint Summer School was organized by the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb (in the week from September 8 to 12, 2025) in cooperation with partner universities from Indonesia (Lampung University and Warmadewa University) and VERN' University from Croatia.
Support in organizing the Summer School was provided by the Embassy of Croatia in Indonesia, the Embassy of Croatia in Malaysia, the Embassy of Malaysia in Croatia, and the Embassy of Indonesia in Croatia. The patronage was provided by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Foundation Office Croatia and Slovenia and ECCOS-INŽENJERING d.o.o.
The Summer School gathered more than 50 participants from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia, who discussed the links between Southeast Asia and Southeast Europe.
The Summer School also serves as a platform for cooperation between the two regions of the world and a central meeting point for scientists from both sides. In addition to the above, the Summer School enables the continuation of cooperation in areas such as Erasmus+, joint research and publications, student research support from both sides, invitations to participate in international scientific conferences, and much more.
The host of the 2026 Summer School will be University of Lampung in Indonesia, in 2027 it will be VERN' University in Croatia, while representatives from Malaysia from Universiti Sains Malaysia have expressed interest in hosting the Summer School in 2028.
