Autumn School on Political, Economic and Security Aspects of East Asia Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb During the academic year 2026/20267 winter semester, Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb will organize the Autumn School on Political, Economic and Security Aspects of East Asia. The aim of this Autumn School is to provide students a broad knowledge base concerning political, economic, and security issues in various East Asian countries, namely China, Japan, South and North Korea, and Taiwan. The School will enhance the information and knowledge about political history of East Asia, its political and economic development, and regional security challenges among the students of political science and journalism. It is the first interdisciplinary school dedicated to the issues of politics, history, economy, international relations, diplomacy, and security of East Asia in Croatia.

The symposium “Human Rights, Democracy and Academic Freedom for the New Generation” will be held on 8 and 9 October 2026 at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. Universities have long played an important role in safeguarding democratic values, human rights and academic freedom. At the same time, these values are increasingly challenged by democratic backsliding, political polarization, digital transformation, the growing influence of social media and artificial intelligence, as well as various restrictions and pressures on academic freedom.

Fakultet političkih znanosti Sveučilišta u Zagrebu organizira Orijentacijski dan za studente prve godine sveučilišnih prijediplomskih studija. Orijentacijski dan održat će se u srijedu 30. rujna 2026. godine, u Auditoriju Fakulteta političkih znanosti. Raspored: 9:00 sati – sveučilišni prijediplomski studij Politologija 10:30 sati – sveučilišni prijediplomski studij Novinarstvo Cilj Orijentacijskog dana je upoznati studente s organizacijom i tijekom studija, nastavnim i administrativnim osobljem, kao i s ključnim informacijama važnima za uspješan početak akademskog obrazovanja.
