Invitation for The William & Mary Global Innovation Challenge

William & Mary College is organizing a Global Innovation Challenge, a hack-a-thon style case competition on international development. The William & Mary Global Innovation Challenge (WMGIC) is a student-led organization that hosts premier case competitions. These events champion interdisciplinary collaboration and mobilize students to tackle global issues. Through creative approaches, students develop solutions with real world applicability and impact. This time competition is focused on international development and sustainability.

WMGIC IX will be held from 9am-5pm on Friday 11 April 2025 via Zoom, with teams of two to five tasked with designing and presenting an innovative solution to a specific global issue detailed in the case document. Teams have the choice to compete in streams focused on technology, social entrepreneurship, governance, or business, and the best teams will receive a $500 prize. Those interested in learning more can see our website or our social media profiles at this link, or register directly using this form.

While we wish to include as many teams as possible, streams will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and the close of registration approaches. After submitting their registration, teams should expect to receive confirmation of their stream position within a week, with further competition materials pending the event.
