The Faculty of Political Science is celebrating its 56th birthday this year! The Faculty Day will take place on November 7, 2018. Lectures, seminars and tutorials won’t be held during the Faculty Day.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in partnership with the Faculty of Political Science, the Institute of Philosophy and the Karl Popper Charitable Trust is organizing Karl Popper Today – Zagreb Popper Forum 2018. Program starts on Thursday, November 15 at 10:00 am at the Faculty of Political Science (Room A). Professor David Miller (University of Warwick) will open the conference with lecture “Putting Science to Work”, and afterwards professor Jeremy Shearmur (Australian National University) will talk about “Karl Popper and Politics Today“. Lectures, seminars and tutorials won't be held on Thursday, November 1. Faculty of Political Science will be closed due to the All Saint’s Day holiday.
Office for International Cooperation will be closed from November 1 till November 4.
We would like to invite you to participate in The Future of Government 2030+: A Citizen Centric Perspective on New Government Models workshop organized by the European Commission Joint Research Centre – Unit Foresight, Behavioural Insights and Design for Policy in partnership with the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, December 6 in the morning hours (exact time TBC) at the Faculty of Political Science. Applications are open till November 20, 2018. To apply send an email with your name and surname to email@example.com. Number of places is limited. Participation is free of charge.
Main objectives of the workshop are:
- Exploring the future of government and rethinking relations between government, citizens and business
- Reflecting the learnings from future models for today and
- Developing strategies for today to be prepared for the future

Deadline for changing the Learning Agreement is Friday, October 19.
To make the changes official students must fill out During the mobility part of the Learning Agreement and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org for approval and signature. Afterwards, the document needs to be signed by the sending institution and sent back to email@example.com containing all three signatures (student, responsible person at the sending institution and responsible person at the receiving institution).
Students must remove courses they had in their Before the mobility part of the Learning Agreement they do not wish or are unable to attend, and they must add the courses they will instead be attending. Students must remove Public Service Media course if they had it in their Before the mobility part of the Learning Agreement.
Admission Office working hours for exchange students are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please try to visit the admission office during these hours.

Lectures, seminars and tutorials won't be held on Monday, October 8. Faculty of Political Science will be closed due to the Independence Day. Croatian Independence Day (Croatian: Dan neovisnosti) is a national public holiday marked yearly on 8 October that celebrates the unanimous decision of the Croatian Parliament to declare the independence of Croatia from the SFR Yugoslavia.
The Faculty of Political Science (Lepušićeva 6) Welcome Day for exchange students will take place on Friday, September 28 at 10 a.m. in Room B (ground floor, first room to the left).

Exams are register through the Studomat. Students must register for exams for all courses they are attending, even if courses in question have no official exam, because otherwise we won’t be able to issue the Transcript of Records.

Welcome Day at the Faculty of Political Science will be held on February 22 at 10:00 a.m. in Room B on the ground floor. All exchange students enrolling in summer semester are expected to attend.

Exams are scheduled through Studomat. Students must register for exams once the registrations are open. Students must register for all courses and tutorials taken, even if they already passed the exam, or if there is no standard exam.

Submissions for the new issue of the international peer-reviewed Media Studies journal (Medijske studije) published by the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb are now open. The journal welcomes manuscripts dealing with the media, communications, journalism, public relations, political communication, cultural studies and other related fields.
Contributions to the journal are referenced in Web of Science (Emerging Sources Citation Index), Scopus and ERIH PLUS. All manuscripts should be submitted through the Open Journal System.
