Final exam results and Overall grades

Dear students,

The results of the Final exam and the calculation of your overall grades can be found in the Reading materials section. Let me explain both. First, you can see the points from your Final. Usually, it was supposed to be 25 points in total but I decided to extend the scale to 30 while leaving the same percentages for your grades. That allowed for much more people to have better grades. It was only for this occassion as the Final was one week before it supposed to be, and on top of that this was my reward to those of you who were active and inspiring group of students. For that reason many added more points to their overall grade. And when we talk about your overall grade, as you know, it consists of four major parts - assignments, presentation, the midterm, and the final - each being 25% of your grade. On top of that I rewarded with extra points those who were engaged in disccussions, depending how often they were participating in discussions during our classes and seminars. Hence, in the last column you can see your overall percentage points from all of your grades (including discussion if this was the case) along with your overall grade from 1 to 5 reflecting our Croatian academic system of grading. You would need to apply for the exam via the system in order to get the grade. Just sign for the first official examination date.

Good luck to all of you...it is for sure that this course will not be offered next year, and who knows after that, life is unpredictable...hope you've developed new lenses to approach films and society. See you around (definitely those who still have to pass the course), and those of you coming back to your countries after all, stay in touch and let me know about your interesting projects and ideas you will be working on in the future.
