Dear students,
I hope you are doing well and that you are looking forward to new academic challenges! For some of you this will be the first semester at the beginning of your academic journey, but some of you are coming as more experienced students, especially those coming as exchange students. For those of you not coming from Croatia, you probably know that you will have an informative meeting on Tuesday September 30th 14:00 with all of those professors teaching English courses this semester. Unfortunately, I won't be able to come at 14:00 as I have a doctoral appointment, but I will instead meet with you earlier and actually present the course since I'm also going for an exchange program and will not be able to have in-person courses until October 23rd. However, you will do your coursework while I am away, and my student assistant will be responsible to grade your homework. This Tuesday September 30th we will meet irregularly at 10:00 (room 303 if I remember correctly) to discuss the syllabus and the class in general. I have already mailed the draft of the syllabus (likely there will be some minor changes later in the semester). By the way, the course is full, actually overbooked and if necessary, priority of enrolling will be on the first come first serve basis, namely, for those of you (non-Croatian students) who signed your contracts and have already enrolled into the class. Since the academic year is about to start, all the questions and queries you will be able to discuss with me on Tuesday and after that via the course email where our student assistant will be answering.
Best,
Hrvoje Cvijanovic,
