Sažetak predavanja:
This lecture will deal with the constitutional transformation in Poland in the field of media studies. The form of media in future is also discussed, especially functioning of the public television or a problem receiving or refusal to give concessions. Lectures will be divided into three parts. The first will have a historical value, presenting the process of changes at the end of the People’s Republic of Poland, which was finished by negotiations called “the Round Table” in 1989. The second part will take the theme of building a modern media system, particularly the legislative process leading to the enactment of the Broadcasting Act and its numerous amendments. There will also be presented other legal acts concerning this field, with the Constitution of the Republic of Poland. There will be presented other important issues that in the assessment of the author are crucial for the Polish media system. There should be shown problems connected with technological progress, the role and the importance of ethics. The last issue is the genesis of the coexisting public and private media, as well as their contemporary problems and challenges.
