The preliminary ranking list for admission to the Master of European Studies graduate program will be published on September 23, 2026.
The final ranking list for admission to the Master of European Studies graduate program will be published on September 24, 2026.

ACADEMIC RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN HIGHER EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Before applying for the Master of European Studies program, all candidates who obtained their bachelor’s/undergraduate degree at a foreign higher education institution must apply for the academic recognition of foreign higher education qualifications and recognition of periods of study completed at foreign higher education institutions for the purpose of continuing education in Croatia.

ENROLMENT REQUIREMENTS
Candidates applying for admission to the Master of European Studies program are not required to take an entrance exam. Applications will be ranked based on the grade point average achieved during undergraduate studies.
Prerequisite for enrolment in the graduate study program for candidates who have completed an equivalent undergraduate program:
- Completed 4-year undergraduate university study program (240 ECTS credits)
Prerequisites for enrolment in the graduate study program for candidates who have completed a non-equivalent undergraduate program:
- Completed non-equivalent 4-year undergraduate university study program (240 ECTS credits) in the field of social sciences or humanities in the Republic of Croatia
- Completed non-equivalent 4-year undergraduate university study program (240 ECTS credits) in the field of social sciences or humanities abroad
Applicants who have completed a 3-year undergraduate university study program (180 ECTS credits) are not eligible to apply for the Master of European Studies program.
APPLICATION DOCUMENTATION
1. Diploma/certificate of completion of a university undergraduate study program in the field of social sciences or humanities;
2. Decision on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification issued by the University of Zagreb for applicants who completed their university undergraduate study program in the field of social sciences or humanities outside the Republic of Croatia;
3. Transcript of records indicating the weighted grade point average for applicants who completed their university undergraduate study program at an institution other than the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb.
ENROLMENT
Enrolment will take place at the Office for Students and Studies of the Faculty of Political Science (Ul. Ivana Lepušića 6, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia) on September 30, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Candidates who do not enrol within the prescribed period will lose their right to enrol.
To complete the enrolment procedure, candidates must submit the following documents:
- OIB (Personal Identification Number). Information on the general rules and assignment of OIB can be found here;
- Proof of residence issued by the police administration – only for candidates residing outside Zagreb;
- Completed enrolment form (provided by the Office for Students and Studies);
- Photograph (4 × 6 cm);
- Completed study contract (provided by the Office for Students and Studies);
- Proof of payment of the enrolment fee – EUR 46.00;
- Proof of payment of the tuition fee – EUR 2,000.00.

The first instalment of the tuition fee must be paid upon enrolment, and the second instalment no later than January 15, 2027.
HOUSING, SCHOLARSHIP AND STUDENT CARD (X-card)
Students can choose between two housing options: living in a student residence hall or private accommodation. The University of Zagreb does not guarantee student accommodation. Students who decide to seek accommodation in the student halls of residence need to apply for it. More information is available here.
The Faculty of Political Science does not provide scholarships.
Enroled students will receive a student card (X-card) that they can use in student restaurants. However, non-EU students are required to pay the full price of the meal.
