Course Sectoral Public Policies is based on applying concepts and approaches in policy research onto Croatian/national public policies. For that purpose, final exam consists of conducting a student research project and writing a policy study, cross-sectoral binary study of two Croatian/national public policies. There are three aims of the course, which are coherent with three parts of the course. First, course is set to enhance understanding of policy research, and so it starts with the overview of policy research approaches, research design and methodologies. This part is especially focused on comparative public policies, as this approach will be used in student projects and final exams. Second aim is to enhance usage of different data gathering and data analysis methods in policy research. So, the course is in second part focused on developing qualitative data analysis approach in policy research. Third aim and part of the course is focused on some Croatian public policies that all named research features are applied to.
